Reviews
Fantastic food, funny staff with great service and this is a restaurant for Italians that expect homemade high quality food. We had a long four course lunch with starters, pasta, main dishes and dessert. Wonderful experience and very easy to bring our 2,5 year old that loved their pasta.
Outstanding seafood restaurant.
A must visit for genuinely high quality oysters, lobster, deep sea fish and wine.
Raffaele was fantastic and recommended a fantastic John Dory for the table which was, and this is no understatement, absolutely exquisite.
For seafood lovers looking for a great evening, this gets my highest recommendation.
We ordered Trippa, it was so clean and no funky taste, the raw shrimp was melting in your mouth.
Traditional dish like Osso Bucco is a must and the portion is gigantic.
We were served from our waiter Giuseppe, who did a wonderful job to make our experience enjoyful. Thank you so much!
I have dined at Taverna Agape twice now and the food and service gets better every time! The restaurant sits in a quaint piazza with plenty of outdoor seating. The servers are attentive, kind and welcoming. They answer any and all questions you have and even make recommendations. The atmosphere at the restaurant is a family vibe, which I love. The owner is as friendly and hard working as his staff and makes you feel like you're at his home.
If I could order everything on the menu at once, I certainly would. Instead, I recently had salmon tartare as a starter and had the grilled octopus as my main. The octopus was a very large portion and grilled to perfection. The chef knows what he's doing. I did not have dessert this time, however, looking at others enjoying their desserts, I know it did not disappoint.
I will be returning to Taverna Agape in the future and definitely recommending it to more friends and family. I have heard from friends that they have recommended to their friends. Looking forward to my next meal at Taverna Agape.
Suggested by a local friend. The service and food did not disappoint! The lamb chops were tender and flavorful. My friend had the pork and potatoes which were also good. I could have eaten the bread all night long!!
We got the sea bass special and it came out on fire! Fun presentation. The service was decent & waiter was nice. Not on the main foot traffic drag so very quiet in the little square. Recommend if you’re in Rome!!
Excellent, charming restaurant with delicious food. Slightly off the tourist hotspots, offers very warm service and fresh, tasty and local dishes. Every thing was delicious, from the fried anchovies, the pasta with truffles and the seabass. Well, it's not perfect, they don't have Italian coffee. 😉
Really nice restaurant with a kind waiter serving us! We sit outside and it was calm there, it is not located in a crowded area, so it’s nice. For a starter (fried cod), fresh swordfish with side, salmon with side, 3 beers, 1 aperol spritz and water, we spent 100€ incl. tip. Really recommended!
